Love Spring - Organic Vegan Fruit Gums

Love Spring is Hey Yum's vegan fruit gum, shaped like hearts, fish and water drops. The flavour is bright and springlike, with orange, peach, blackcurrant and strawberry, and elderberry and strawberry juice at the fruity core.

There is no gelatine in these. The gums are set with pectin, a gelling agent drawn from fruit, which gives a slightly springier bite than the classic soft gummy. They are also vegan, gluten free and lactose free, so you can hand them round without caveats.

Love Spring is the mildest of the three in the range. At 46 g of sugars per 100 g it sits noticeably below both Magic Forest and Sour Flower, which are each at 63 g.

As with the rest of the range, the colours come from the ingredients rather than from colourings. Elderberry and strawberry give the reds, turmeric the yellow. No artificial colourings, no artificial flavourings, all certified organic.

The brand comes from Danish company Sweet Intentions, who set out to make sweets without the things you normally find in a bag of gummies. The 100 g bag makes a good little host gift, an addition to a hamper, or a thoughtful treat for someone who usually struggles to find sweets they can eat.
