Brass Christmas ornament with hearts and snowflakes
A round brass ornament by Anonym Kunstner, where two hearts and two snowflakes are cut out within a circular frame. The motif stands freely within the circle, making the background part of the picture, whether the ornament hangs on a fir tree, in a window, or on a branch in a vase.
The brass has a brushed surface with a warm, golden glow, and the ornament comes with natural-colored jute string. Over time, brass develops a deeper patina, which can be polished back if you prefer a shiny finish.
Recycling and rock and roll
The brass comes from cymbals broken during concerts and rehearsals in the practice rooms at Elværket in Helsingør. So, the metal has already lived a life in a drum kit before becoming a Christmas ornament.
The heart is the most classic of all Danish Christmas motifs, and here it is rendered in a simple, graphic style that suits both traditional and more understated Christmas trees. An obvious small Christmas gift or hostess gift.
