An aromatic, intense fig confit from Provence, made with French figs and the celebrated dessert wine Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. Sweet figs, balsamic vinegar, white wine and a touch of onion and olive oil give it a rounded, elegant flavour with a fine balance between sweetness and acidity.
This confit is ideal with cheese - especially blue cheese, goat's cheese or a creamy brie - but works just as well alongside pâté, charcuterie or game.
