Rust-patinated wine stopper in steel and cork
A sculptural wine stopper from Anonymous Artist, featuring a three-masted sailing ship under full sail. The carved silhouette sits on a round plate above a natural cork stopper, so the motif stands freely above the bottle neck.
The ship is made of rust-patinated steel, where precise cut-outs outline the hull, masts, rigging, and pennant, and a couple of wave lines support the ship below. The raw, rusty surface adds depth and character, while the patina, texture, and natural changes of the material make each piece unique.
The wine stopper seals the opened bottle and simultaneously becomes a small work of art on the table. The cork ensures a tight fit in the bottle neck, while the ship keeps the motif alive between servings.
