Rust Patinated Art Object in Two Parts
A sculptural set of bookends from Anonymous Artist featuring a motif of a sailboat under full sail. The two parts are mirror images and together form a cohesive maritime motif when placed at opposite ends of the books.
The work is crafted from rust-patinated steel, where precise cutouts outline the ship's hull, masts, rigging, and pennant in a sharp silhouette. The waves beneath the hull are cut in soft, rhythmic lines, and the rounded outer edge gives each part a slightly sail-like expression.
