A crushed plastic bottle, rendered in copper and placed across a brick. The bottle is twisted at the neck and folded in the middle, just as a bottle ends up when it is squeezed and discarded.

The copper here is darker than in the other works of the series, with a deep greenish-black patina, where the reddish copper breaks through in small glimpses along the folds. Against the brick's warm reddish-brown color and rough surface, a contrast arises between two materials, both with a history behind them.

Trash Art is a series by Anonymous Artist, where single-use packaging is given a permanent form. The work raises a question about what we discard and what we preserve, without wagging a finger.

Each piece is unique and will vary in patina, color play, texture, and surface. The brick is part of the artwork, and since the bricks are different, the dimensions will vary from one piece to another.
