Summer truffle is the most used truffle in the Italian culinary tradition.

Its black peridium has a rough bark, from which the name "Summer Scorzone" also originates. It has a delicate aroma and taste, as sunny as the season in which it ripens.

Tastefulness recommends that you cut the summer truffle into thin slices and use it raw - in slices or finely grated and sprinkled on prepared dishes.

Experience the sublime taste, for example, by placing thin slices on freshly baked bread, with a generous drop of extra virgin olive oil and a touch of sea salt.

Tartufi Jimmy was founded in 1980 by Giovannino Cecchini, who dreamed of making a living out of his great passion for fresh truffles. Today, the company is based in the small village of Pietralunga in green Umbria, surrounded by maple and oak trees.

Harvest period: from 1 June to 31 August.
