Packaging with a good conscience

It is important to use the earth's resources in a wise and long-term way. That is why we at Tastefulness work actively with sustainability in three areas.

  • Locally produced goods
  • We have a strong focus on the locally produced raw materials, which do not burden the climate as much on the transport side.

  • As much ecology as possible
  • We also focus on ecology - and buy organic products where possible.

Right now there will typically be a mix of organic and traditionally produced goods in our gift basket. But we are constantly on the lookout for goods that are produced sustainably. It is our clear ambition to be able to offer a pure eco gift basket within the foreseeable future.

  • Sustainable packaging
  • As a gift basket supplier, we at Tastefulness are very aware that packaging generally poses an environmental problem. That is why we have naturally thought about the environment and sustainability in our packaging solutions.

Tastefulness buys environmentally certified packaging to ensure that the packaging has as little impact on the environment as possible.

This means, among other things, that the packaging is made from sustainable, compostable or upcycled materials as far as possible.

The gift baskets themselves are manufactured at a factory in Denmark. Inside our gift basket boxes is wood wool, in which all our products are wrapped. The wood wool is made from Danish wood shavings.

When the boxes are sent with freight companies, they are wrapped in corrugated plastic, which is made from 80% recycled plastic. It is a somewhat more expensive solution than the regular variant - but it means that we can pack with a clear conscience.

When we pack the very large gift boxes, extra box filling is necessary. We have chosen to buy Danish-produced box filler made from biological material, which is the latest innovation in packaging. The product is made from corn granules – a residual product of corn and no chemicals are used in the production.

The box filling is an organic natural product and a degradable material that dissolves when it comes into contact with moisture. Therefore, you, as the recipient, can easily dispose of the box contents in the paper waste container, in the bin or on the compost pile.
